Muhsin Ertuğrul (1892-1979)
"Muhsin Ertuğrul, one of the founders and the endeavourers of the Turkish theatre, knew how to combine his experiences in Art Theatre with those of Meyerhold's: he visited the Soviet Union many times. He knew Meyerhold and Stanislavsky personally; the synthesis of their way of narration¾although different to some extent¾was realised in the work of the founder of the Turkish theatre."
